How shipping outside the lower 48 works
We ship mobility scooters and power wheelchairs outside the lower 48, with door to door delivery to Anchorage and Fairbanks in Alaska and to Honolulu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island in Hawaii. These orders are taken by phone only, because our online checkout accepts addresses in the contiguous US. We get a freight quote for your exact address and you pay once you have agreed to the price and the delivery window. Full size models can go over military mail limits for APO and FPO addresses, so we confirm the route for those when we quote.
Most orders go by sea. The scooter travels by truck to a port such as Tacoma or Los Angeles, crosses on a container ship or barge, and a local carrier brings it to your address. Air freight is also available when time matters more than cost.
| Destination | By sea, door to door | By air, business days |
|---|---|---|
| Anchorage, Alaska | 2 to 3 weeks | 3 to 5 days |
| Fairbanks and other Alaska towns on the road system | 3 to 4 weeks | 4 to 6 days |
| Honolulu, Oahu | 2 to 3 weeks | 3 to 5 days |
| Maui, Kauai and the Big Island | 3 to 4 weeks | 4 to 6 days |
| Puerto Rico | 2 to 4 weeks | 3 to 5 days |
| US Virgin Islands and Guam | 4 to 8 weeks | Call us |
| Alaska towns off the road system | Call us | Call us |
Alaska, Hawaii and territory times start when the scooter leaves the warehouse and include room for weather and sailing schedules. They are typical times, not guaranteed dates. A model that is in stock usually leaves within one business day. A model built or customized to order can take up to two weeks before it ships, and air freight does not shorten that part.

What it costs
Free curbside shipping covers the lower 48 only. You pay freight to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands and APO or FPO addresses. The price depends on the crated size and weight of the model, your exact address and how fast you want it, so we quote every order separately. Remote towns and outer islands cost more than Anchorage, Alaska or Honolulu, Hawaii, and air freight costs about twice as much as sea. Call 1-888-233-5563 with the model and your ZIP code for a quote before you decide.
To give you an idea before you call, these are estimated freight costs for one crated heavy duty scooter of about 450 lb, delivered to a home with a lift gate.

|---|---|---|
| Anchorage, Alaska | $2,000 to $3,000 | $3,500 to $5,500 |
| Fairbanks, Alaska | $2,500 to $3,800 | $4,000 to $6,500 |

| Guam | $4,000 to $6,500 | $7,500 to $12,000 |

Lithium battery models
Lithium batteries count as dangerous goods in air cargo, so a lithium scooter or chair going by air needs special packing and paperwork. That adds cost and can add a day or two. Sea freight is simpler. We check the right route for your model when we quote.
Military APO and FPO addresses
We ship to APO and FPO addresses. Military mail has size and weight limits that a full size scooter can go over, so call us first and we will work out whether it goes by mail, by freight or to a stateside address.
Setup, warranty and returns outside the lower 48
White glove delivery is available in many parts of Alaska and Hawaii when a local provider covers your address, so they can unpack, assemble and set up the scooter in your home. We quote it together with the freight. Remote towns may not have a provider.
Warranty repairs depend on the manufacturer. Where the manufacturer covers repairs in your area, they arrange a local technician. Where they do not, the warranty covers the parts, and we will help you find a local technician to fit them.
Our normal return terms apply. You pay the return freight, which costs more from Alaska, Hawaii and the territories for the same reasons delivery does.
